Always get professional advice before making decisions about your home. An accredited energy assessor can give you a proper assessment of your property. A qualified installer should survey your home before quoting for any work.

Estimates and calculations

The savings estimates shown on property pages are indicative only. They are calculated using:

• Published Ofgem energy price cap rates (updated quarterly)
• Standard industry assumptions (e.g. heat pump COP of 3.0, 85% gas boiler efficiency)
• EU PVGIS satellite data for solar output at your latitude
• Property characteristics from your EPC record

Actual savings will vary depending on your property, usage patterns, energy tariff, installer, system specification, and other factors. We show our working and methodology transparently so you can judge for yourself.

Energy prices change quarterly. Our calculations use the most recent Ofgem price cap at the time of your visit but may not reflect your actual tariff.

Third-party data

Property data comes from government sources including the MHCLG EPC Register, Scottish EPC Register, HM Land Registry, and ONS postcodes. While these are authoritative sources, we cannot guarantee the accuracy or completeness of third-party data.

EPC records may be out of date — certificates are valid for 10 years but property conditions change. We show the date of each EPC so you can judge how current it is.

The design, layout, and original content of this site belong to UK Home Energy Guide. Government data is used under the Open Government Licence v3.0 and remains Crown Copyright. Images are used under licence from their respective owners.
